NICADE project (Neuroimaging and Clinical Autism Database) was established in 2014 to study brain structure and function in autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
It's been believed that structural and functional disturbances can result in behavioral changes. Autism Spectrum Disorder is a neurodevelopmental disorder affecting Central Nervous System (CNS) function and structure, which leads to degrees of impairment in social abilities, repetitive behaviors, and verbal and non-verbal communications.
We are aimed to understand more about pathogenesis of ASD; based on neuroimaging techniques, blood biomarkers, and cognitive tests. This may contribute to easier, earlier, and more accurate diagnosis; better classification of ASD types; and finding more efficient therapeutic methods.
